As you know Mike Paduano and I have been posting on this site together but I have recently initiated our breakup. We both kind of agree that it would make more sense to just post on our own seperate accounts.

So you can now follow me at http://marctytus.com where I will be posting from now on.

EDIT: Follow Mike over at http://michaelpaduano.tumblr.com. (That’s if you really care. We all know you came here for Marc and Marc only.)

I’m not sure what were going to do with estebanwaseaten.com. We’ve both been busy and haven’t really had a chance to talk about it.

Anyway, bye for now!

I know that it isn’t much, but today I found out just how easy it is to beat the American Greetings system (they sell memberships for online e-cards).

After taking full advantage of my 30-day free trial (I sent 4 e-cards), I called to cancel my subscription before I was charged the annual fee of $15.99.

Jim, my American Greetings representative, enthusiastically informed me that not only was he was willing to extend my trial period by an additional 2 weeks, but he also wanted to give me a full year’s membership for $15.99 $11.99!

I politely told Jim of my real intentions in signing up with American Greetings, at which point we severed ties.

Best of luck in the future Jim.

Haha this is awesome.

This is wrong and horrible… but it’s embarassingly catchy. It is my duty to post these news worthy videos… not that I condone them. (NSFW)

It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors of Rogers Communications Inc. announces the death of our colleague, leader and friend, Edward Samuel “Ted” Rogers, the founder of the company, a visionary communications industry pioneer and an icon in Canadian business. He was 75.

rickyv:

Anna and I were walking home from seeing Role Models yesterday (highly recommended if you like good mainstream comedies with heart) and started talking about Paul Rudd.

The conclusion we quickly came to is that he could be America’s awesomest human. Besides being a total dreamboat in the looks department, he somehow manages to perfectly straddle the pop/indie entertainment worlds. He also has the perfect amount of celebrity — not so much that he has paparazzi blocking his way to get coffee in the morning, but still enough to be a household name.

When he did our “Showalter” program, our staffers couldn’t believe how nice he was to everybody. He told one of them about his life in general — he spends a few months doing a movie, takes a few months off to gain weight and hang out with his wife and kid, then loses the weight, does another movie, and repeats. What a life.

I told Anna that I bet if you Googled “Paul Rudd is a douchebag” you’d get zero results. What could people even possibly use to justify that statement? (For reference — Kevin Federline has 594, Bush 507, Barack Obama has 3,910, Ashton Kutcher 74).

Well, here’s the result:

Duh.

Paul Rudd is awesome. If you haven’t seen the video of him on the Michael Showalter show, click the link above. Wish me luck for my exams this week!

Here’s my favorite track from The Killers new album "Day & Age", released last Monday.

With respect to the album as a whole…it’s pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good. Not great.

I think a friend of mine summed it up pretty well when he said that if this was an LP record, side A would be on constant repeat and side B would almost never get played.

Anyway, check out A Dustland Fairytale below.

Best lyrics: change came in disguise of revelation; saw cinderella in a party dress.

The Killers - A Dustland Fairytale

…that I can always just buy one of these if I don’t get my G license by April. NO LICENSE REQUIRED - that’s my kind of motor vehicle.

I was walking down Princess Street in Kingston a few days ago when I spotted it. I realize that it’s perfectly legal. It just seems mildly funny to me.
